IAEA Topic
IAEA Topic:
1. Nuclear Proliferation in Central Asia
White Paper:

The topic of Nuclear Proliferation in Central Asia is one that represents the prominence of Nuclear Power in the modern world, and the fact that many nations would like to have access to this energy source.
Regarding the topic of Nuclear Proliferation in Central Asia, the nation of Albania agrees and offers it’s full support by the EU statements made earlier this year in September. Albania feels that all nations have a right to harness nuclear energy for the benefits of their own nation. However, with this responsibility nations must not, for the greater good of humanity, use nuclear power for military uses. The nation of Albania stands by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaty of 1968 (NPT) and its three cornerstones: non-proliferation, disarmament, and peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
Albania feels that all nations should adhere to the NPT in making progress to a more peaceful future and world. Regarding this upcoming IAEA Committee Meeting and the Nuclear Proliferation in Central Asia, Albania hopes that the nations of Central Asia will be permitted to have access to nuclear power but will have restrictions regarding military use of the energy source.
