Political Officer: Ryan Williams - Notre Dame
Email: iraq-rcc(at)cimun.org

1980 represents a time of turmoil around the world, with the Middle East a battleground for regional domination, and at a higher leve, global cold war conflict. In 1980, Saddam Hussein led Iraq, along with its Arab allies and the United States, into a war with Iran that would run for many years and set new standards for brutality and destruction. At CIMUN 2009, delegates will represent members of Saddam's elite inner-circle.
