Financial Policy and Fees

CIMUN program fees are offered as a package for both faculty and students. In order to secure the most competitive rates, all fees and hotel accomodations are handled through us. Any questions about fees or payments may be directed to the Undersecretary-General of Administration, Katie Duthaler, at usga@cimun.org. 

Delegate Package

The CIMUN Delegate Package Includes:

• Conference Materials and Participation
• Hotel Accomodations for Thursday-Saturday Nights at the Fairmont Chicago
• Banquet Dinner on Thursday Night

Priority Registration Rate: (May 1 - October 10, 2011)*
$300 per Student

Late Registration Rate: (After October 10, 2011)
$325 per Student

*If your school registers before October 10th, you may add additional delegates at the priority registration rate up until the date of the conference.

Empty Bed Fee:
Since the delegate rate is based on four students per room, each room that does not have four students will incur a fee of $135 per empty spot. This fee, however, can be waived if your school will allow your remaining students to room with those from another school. We always do everything possible to room students from the same school together, but this fee is necessary to cover hotel costs.

Advisor Package

The CIMUN Advisor Package Includes:

• Access to all Conference Events and Functions
• Hotel Accomodations for Thursday-Saturday Nights at the Fairmont Chicago (Single Room, King Bed)
• Banquet Dinner on Thursday Night
• Faculty Advisor Reception on Thursday Evening

Advisor Registration Rate:
$600 per Advisor Room*

*Advisor rates are calculated for single, king bed rooms. If two advisors from the same school would like to share a room, the fee will drop to $350 per person. 

Delegation Fee

Delegation Fee:
$75 per Country (for the First Three Countries)
All Countries Thereafter are Free

Due Dates

Country Registration Fees: Due within 30 Days of Registration

Delegate and Advisor Fees: Due by November 1, 2011. All late submissions will incur a $50 late fee per week. It is very important that we receive payment on time so that we may pay our vendors. Thank you very much for your cooperation!

Cancellations and Refunds

Delegate and advisor numbers may not be lowered after November 1, 2011. After this date, no refunds will be given.

Additional delegates and advisors may be added up until the date of the conference pending space availability.

Payment Methods

We accept payment by check and all major credit cards. All checks should be made out to the "Model United Nations Development Organization." Credit card payments will be subject to an additional 4% processing fee. Please let us know in advance if you plan on paying by credit card.
