Former U.S. Representative Joe Sestak, the highest ranking military official ever elected to the U.S. Congress, will deliver the Keynote Address at the CIMUN VIII Opening Banquet.

Delegate Safety
We're Serious About the Safety of Delegates
The safety and security of delegates is a top priority when organizing CIMUN. While the area where the conference is located is a relatively safe district in Chicago, it is important that students respect the rules as laid out in the CIMUN delegate guide.
CIMUN staff includes a fully trained team of Sergeants-at-Arms dedicated to ensuring the safety of delegates.
Delegates are required to remain in the hotel, except during scheduled meals and breaks and with the permission of their faculty advisor. After 9:00pm, no delegate may leave the hotel for any reason except in extraordinary circumstances and the notification of the Master Sergeant-at-Arms. In the event of an emergency a staff member should be notified immediately.
